How We Helped Moon Tower Inn Take Control of Their Website

Moon Tower Inn is a lowbrow outdoor brewhouse and eatery located in Houston’s East End Cultural District. For over a decade, they have hosted live music, poured ice-cold beers, and served some of the best dogs and burgers around. Because their beer selection, food menu, and events change frequently, they needed a website their team could update quickly on their own.

Before we came into the picture, the existing web domain held an unfinished web design, and we were determined to change that.

Moon Tower Inn partnered with us to design and build a website that matched their energy and workflow. They also collaborated with local, talented artist @Neonthrash (featured at Meow Wolf Houston) to develop a dynamic brand guide filled with expressive imagery and distinctive typography that reflects the spirit of the brand. We brought that brand guide to life via the website, translating the visual identity into a cohesive digital experience that stays true to Moon Tower’s personality while remaining easy to manage.

The Initial Build Geared for Easy Updates

We built the site using Webflow and utilized an ultra-custom Content Management System (CMS). A CMS simply means a website that allows you to edit content through an easy dashboard instead of changing code or calling a developer.

We organized Moon Tower’s website using collections, which are structured groups of content. Each menu item becomes its own entry with custom fields such as:

• Name and description
• Category
• Pricing or details
• Images
• Availability status

When a beer sells out or a new item is added, staff update the entry once and the change appears everywhere on the website instantly.

No Developer Needed for Everyday Changes

With Weflow’s CMS Editor Role, Moon Tower manages their own:

• Text and images
• Menu items or services
• Events and announcements
• Ongoing content updates

Updates go live almost immediately, so customers always see the most up-to-date information. The team no longer needs to wait on outside help for routine edits.

Improving on What Worked

Webflow’s builtin content system already makes websites easy to manage. However, during the project, we learned that their team already trained and efficient with Airtable to track beer inventory and rotating selections internally.

Before the integration, staff would need to enter the same information twice, once for inventory tracking and again for the display menu on the website. To remove that extra work, we connected Airtable directly to the website using Whalesync.

This setup automatically syncs their inventory on AirTable and updates with the website’s content system. When Moon Tower updates beer information in Airtable, the website reflects those changes automatically. The team continues using the tools they already know, while customers always see accurate, up‑to‑date information online.

By connecting existing systems instead of replacing them, we reduced manual work and made website updates feel like a natural part of daily operations.
